STAR Central Texas: December Networking Event – Upcycled Crafting

Join STAR Central Texas for some Holiday crafting fun with Austin Creative Reuse!

An instructor will guide us through two fun holiday crafts using reclaimed materials during this virtual event. STAR Central Texas Steering Committee members will facilitate a discussion during the crafting sessions. We hope you grab your beverage of choice and join us for some great networking and holiday festivities!

This event is $10 for STAR members, and $15 for non-members.

We'll be making a reusable gift box made from record covers and a holiday garland, guided by an instructor from Austin Creative Reuse.

Austin Creative Reuse has curated “Crafty Hour” kits for pickup curbside at their facility prior to the event:

• Austin Creative Reuse: 2005 Wheless Ln, Austin, TX 78723
  Curbside hours: 10am-4pm, Daily

If you are unable to pick up a kit, you can procure your own materials to follow along with the group. You will need (per person):

• 2 record album covers
• 1 fabric samples book
• 1 spool of ribbon

The tools and supplies needed for the projects are:

• straight edge or ruler
• rotary cutter and mat, or scissors and pencil
• bone folder, blunt knife, or similar object to crease
• hot glue, clear packing tape, or craft glue
