STAR COUNCILS & ACTION GROUPS

Texas is a huge state! To address local and regional needs, as well as keep our members engaged,
STAR has Councils and Action Groups that members can choose to join. 

Councils operate formally with an elected steering committee, host regular calls,
have an operating budget, and plan out year-long events and tours. 

Action Groups are informal, with no regular calls or meetings, and are comprised of STAR members
who want to have a networking and support channel to facilitate tours, events, and meetings, when needed. 

Both the Councils and the Action Groups help STAR achieve its mission of
advancing recycling in Texas, as our members—our so-called, "boots on the ground"—are
able to collaborate and facilitate solutions locally and on specific subjects. 

STAR members can login using the icon at the top right and hit "edit profile" to manage Council and Working Group membership, or visit the Members page to contact a STAR Council Steering Committee member.
