2011 Leadership Award Winners

The State of Texas Alliance for Recycling is pleased to announce the winners of the 2011 Environmental Leadership Awards. The following communities and businesses were presented with their awards on October 4, 2011 at the Texas State Capitol Building in Austin.

Rick Fuszek Outstanding SWM Program: TIE between City of Garland and City of Allen

Outstanding Compost Program: City of Keller

Outstanding Special Event: City of Denton

Outstanding Recycling Partnership: City of Hutto

Linda B. Smith Outstanding Youth Education Program: City of Frisco

Cis Myers Outstanding Sustainability Program: City of Coppell

Outstanding Construction and Demolition Program: Huitt-Zollars, Inc.

Honorable mentions were also given to: Texas Carpet Recycling, Fort Hood, Earth Day Dallas and Phoenix Commotion
